The National Volunteer Center is a branch of the English Opens Doors Program that used to recruit native and near-native English speakers to work as teaching assistants in Chilean classrooms, specifically to improve students’ listening and speaking skills. Volunteers also assisted with other initiatives of the English Opens Doors Program, such as debates and English Camps.
Volunteers taught and encouraged the study of English while living with Chilean host families and interacting with members of the local community.
Due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been unable to reactivate the full-time International Volunteer Initiative. Updates will be posted on this website as they become available.
On the other hand, we are currently recruiting International Volunteer-Monitors for our Online Extracurricular English Workshops!
